Once you have been accepted, and prior to intake, a comprehensive pre-screening assessment will need to be completed. We will let you know when and how to complete this process. It will primarily be completed online using a secure process. This pre-screening assessment will allow us to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. This plan will include addiction support, mental health and wellness support, dietary and nutritional support, and life skills support. Prior to intake we will make arrangements with you regarding where you should arrive for intake.
Prior to your arrival, we will provide you with a detailed list of what to bring and what you should leave at home. In general, you should not bring an excess of belongings. Laundry facilities are provided free of charge. Although you will not be allowed unlimited access to your cell phone and laptop, you can bring these. In general, don’t bring valuables. Your cell phone and laptop, along with other valuable items will be secured during your stay. You will have access to these items with staff approval. No products that contain alcohol are allowed, nor are clothing with offensive images/language nor those that portray alcohol or substance use. No colognes or perfumes. Clothes should be comfortable and seasonally appropriate. As there is a gym and nature walks offered, you should bring outdoor and athletic wear.

Your arrival at Venetus Wellness will be the first step of your program. The staff is here to help make your stay a safe and growing experience. We will strive to support you and your loved ones, please review the information provided to ensure that you are fully prepared for what your experience at Venetus Wellness will be like, including the intake portion of your program.
When you arrive at Venetus Wellness you will be greeted by a support staff member who, with your participation, will search all of your belongings. This process is designed for the safety of all clients and staff by ensuring that no alcohol, drugs, or weapons enter the
Any valuables will be secured and will be available to check in or out with program staff approval. Once your belongings have been searched and valuables have been secured, you will be given a full tour of the facility. You will be given a copy of the weekly schedule, and go through the daily rules and regulations of the program. Staff will offer you a snack and let you know when your medical intake is scheduled that day. You can then settle into your room. As part of your medical intake, you will need to provide urine for a drug screen and meet with a program physician to review you medical stability and determine what medications are appropriate during your stay in the program. Additionally, during your intake, the program will, free of charge, provide flu immunizations or other critical immunizations as seasonally and situationally appropriate. Although your individual treatment plan will include required participation in certain daily individual and group recovery activities, you will generally be exempt from these requirements on your day of arrival.
Talking groups will cover topics such as:
- Workplace Dynamics
- Drinking, Drugs, and driving.
- Mental health and mental illness
- Impact of diet and nutrition on health and
- Money management
- S.M.A.R.T. recovery
Physical therapeutic groups will involve activities such as:
- Drugs, benefits, risks and harms.
- Prescription medication abuse.
- Relapse and relapse prevention.
- Anger management.
- Peer pressure and social networks.
- Anxiety reduction techniques.
- Sleeping problems.
- Sleeping problems.
- Fatigue and tiredness.
- Natural products and supplements.
- Preparing for return to work.
- Other topics as needed.
You will have access to online knowledge modules which you will be able to complete during your free time and you will also have personal recovery “homework” to complete in between counseling and group sessions. We will also work to support you medically and nutritionally with the most appropriate medications and foods given your personal history and needs.
Venetus Wellness offers support well beyond individual counseling and group programs. The site has a gym on the grounds to use at your leisure. Beyond providing you with professional freshly made high quality meals and snacks, that will ensure proper nutrition, you will also have access to natural medicine experts who can provide natural herbal supplements and aromatherapy to assist in your recovery.
Should you choose, your family will have the opportunity to visit you during your stay. We can provide family counseling during these times should you and your family like. While recovery is a serious matter, that does not mean recovery lack enjoyment. In addition to the programs already highlighted, there will be other unique programs and opportunities during your stay which we hope you will find enjoyable.
Whether you spend 28 days or three months in the program, your recovery does not stop there. Although we are confident you will be in a stronger and healthier place when you leave, we will support you for several months after you finish the program. We will develop an individual post-recovery support plan with you during your stay and then continue to support you through this plan.
